FAQ

What Idonis is, what it shows, how analyses are counted, what each plan includes — in short questions.

The product

What is Idonis?

An explorer of Belgian companies. For each company, Idonis gathers on one page what the company itself has published:

  • its entry in the register (Crossroads Bank for Enterprises): identity, registered office, activities, mandates;
  • its annual accounts filed with the Central Balance Sheet Office;
  • its publications in the annexes of the Belgian Official Gazette: incorporation, appointments, amendments, proceedings.

From these it draws readable figures, ratios and an explained soundness score — and you can ask it questions in plain English, as you would a colleague.

Where does the data come from?

From Belgian public sources: the CBE register (identity, registered office, activities, mandates), the Central Balance Sheet Office of the National Bank (annual accounts) and the annexes of the Belgian Official Gazette (company deeds).

Every figure shown states its origin and its year. An estimated amount is flagged as such and is never confused with a filed figure.

Is Idonis affiliated with these institutions?

No. Idonis is a private service that reads and organises publications open to everyone; it has no link with the registers or administrations whose data it uses.

Who is it for?

Anyone dealing with a Belgian company — not only professionals.

  • The private individual having work done who pays a deposit to a contractor, or who signs with a developer, an agency, an installer: on one page, they see how long the company has existed, whether its accounts are filed and what they say.
  • Business owners and freelancers checking a customer, a supplier or a partner before committing.
  • Accountants and advisers following their clients' companies.
  • Finance, procurement, credit or compliance teams.
  • Journalists, researchers, the curious.
What can I do on a company page?

Everything the company has published, organised to be read:

  • identity and active mandates;
  • the accounts of the latest financial years, the ratios and the score;
  • its position within its sector;
  • the network of related companies and people;
  • the timeline of Gazette publications.

And two actions: ask Idonis a question about this company, or add it to a list to be notified of its next publication or its next filing.

What is the soundness score?

Annual accounts are dozens of line items over several years: few people have the time or the training to read them. That is what the score is for — it condenses those accounts into a grade from A to E and a word (sound, watch, fragile), so you know at once where to look.

It rests on five figures from the filed accounts, each with its weight:

  • solvency — does equity hold up against the balance sheet?
  • liquidity — can it pay what is falling due?
  • interest coverage — does its result absorb the cost of its debt?
  • profitability — is it making money?
  • leverage.

Some published facts cap the score whatever the balance sheet says: proceedings published in the Gazette (liquidation, reorganisation, bankruptcy), accounts that should have been filed and were not. Abbreviated or old accounts lower the confidence level shown alongside.

Above all, the score always comes with its reasons. On the company page, each component shows the figures that produced it, their year and their weight — you can retrace the reasoning and challenge it. It is a starting point for your own reading, not an opinion on the company.

Does Idonis provide information about people?

Only what the company's publications contain: mandates (director, manager, permanent representative) and their date.

Never the age, date of birth, national identification number or address of a natural person.

Analyses and credits

What is an “analysis”?

A question asked of Idonis about a company: “how sound is it?”, “what outstanding amount is reasonable?”, “what happened this year?”.

Under the hood, the unit of account is the credit: each answer consumes credits in proportion to the work it requires — the length of the question, the number of companies and documents to read. An “analysis” is the estimate of the number of credits needed to answer a question: 25 credits on average. We describe your plans in that unit because it speaks more clearly than a credit balance.

Viewing a company page, a list, the explorer or an alert consumes nothing: only questions consume credits.

How are analyses counted?

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits:

  • Free: 150 credits, about 6 analyses;
  • Pro: 4,000 credits, about 160 analyses;
  • Enterprise: 2,500 credits per user, about 100 analyses — pooled across the organisation.

Each question is charged its actual credits: a short question about one company costs less than the 25 average, a long question or one spanning several companies costs more — hence the “about”.

The allowance is topped back up at each renewal; the remainder does not carry over. Your Account page shows the balance in credits and its equivalent in analyses, based on the actual cost of your own questions.

What are “additional credits”?

Credits bought as a pack — from 1,000 credits (about 40 analyses) for €15 to 20,000 credits (about 800 analyses) for €229 — or granted by a code.

They are never reset and are used once the month's allowance is spent: a reserve for busy months, available on every plan.

What happens when my monthly allowance is used up?

Everything else keeps working: company pages, lists, alerts, explorer. Only questions to Idonis wait for the renewal — or draw on your additional credits if you have any. An e-mail warns you when few remain.

This is different from a subscription becoming inactive. If a renewal payment is declined or your cancellation takes effect, the account returns to Free. Nothing is deleted — your lists, conversations and additional credits remain — but the features are de facto those of Free:

  • 2 financial years and 5 ratios per company;
  • one list of 5 companies;
  • 150 credits per month (about 6 analyses);
  • no more exports or e-mail alerts.

An e-mail lets you know, with the link to update your card: once the payment goes through, everything is restored.

The plans

What does the Free plan include?

The essentials to understand a company, with no card and no commitment:

  • the company page and the last 2 financial years;
  • 5 ratios;
  • Gazette publications from the last 12 months;
  • one list of 5 companies;
  • 150 credits per month (about 6 analyses).
What does the Pro plan include?

Everything needed to work with companies:

  • the full history of accounts and publications, all ratios;
  • sector positioning and estimates;
  • the full network of related companies and the dated history of mandates;
  • exports;
  • company lists, with e-mail alerts;
  • 160 analyses per month.

€49 excl. VAT per month, or €490 per year.

What does the Enterprise plan include?

All of Pro, for a team:

  • from 3 users, €39 excl. VAT per user per month (volume discounts apply);
  • an organisation with shared lists and a console to invite your colleagues;
  • a pooled allowance of 100 analyses per user per month.

API access and the MCP connector are options of this plan.

Can I change plan or cancel?

At any time, from your Account page.

A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you then return to Free and keep your lists, conversations and settings — only the depth of analysis and the question allowance change.

I received a code (coupon). How do I use it?

On your Account page, under “Code”: enter it and confirm.

What it grants — months of Pro, Enterprise users, additional credits — is activated immediately and confirmed by e-mail. A code can be used only once per account.

How does billing work?

Payment is processed by Stripe (bank card).

Your billing details — company, VAT number, address — are on your Account page and appear on every invoice. For a VAT-registered business in another EU country, the reverse charge applies.

Working as a team (Enterprise)

How do I invite my colleagues?

From your organisation's console: one invitation per e-mail address, valid for seven days.

Each invited person takes up one user of your subscription and finds the team's shared lists.

What is shared within an organisation?
  • The lists you choose to share, and their alerts.
  • The analysis allowance, as a common pool.

Everyone's personal lists stay personal. Conversations with Idonis are not shared.

How do I add or remove users?

From your Account page: the number of users can be changed at any time, prorated over the current period.

Data, updates and privacy

How often is the data updated?

The CBE register is synchronised every day; Belgian Official Gazette publications and annual accounts are picked up as they become available.

The company page shows the date of every publication used.

What if a figure looks wrong to me?

Every figure points to its source (filing, deed, publication number): start by checking it.

If the discrepancy remains, write to support@idonis.ai naming the company — we fix it at the source, for everyone.

Are my searches and questions confidential?

Yes. Your lists, conversations and settings are private — or shared within your organisation, if you so decide.

They do not feed the company pages and are not visible to any other user.

How do I exercise my rights over my data?

Your Account page lets you edit your details and delete your account, which erases your data.

The site's legal information names the data controller and how to reach them.
